Wildcrafted Toco Moss is a type of algae which is found near rocky areas of Toco Sea in the Caribbean. Toco Sea Moss originates from the Gelidium specie of sea moss which produces the highest concentration of gel when harvested and is known for its potency. Gelidium is an important source of iodine, agar and vitamin B. It also has a low number of calories and fat which makes it a popular choice as a dietary aid when it comes to losing weight.
Our Wildcrafted sea moss is sun dried and most of the sea salt is removed during this process, giving a high quality sea moss ready to used for your own personal benefit. When soaked and slightly boiled, just like sorrel, or herbal tea, the substance becomes stronger when the water is retained and used in the blending process. There are no artificial colouring, flavouring or food dye which needs to be added to our products. However, natural dates or dates sugar can be infused for sweetness and a small amount of fruits. Adding to much, can shorten the storage life from four weeks to one week.
